Accessibility

We want every family to be able to find an office, learn about care and book a visit, however they use the web.

Our standard

We build and test this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That includes:

• text and controls with enough color contrast;
• every feature usable with a keyboard, with visible focus;
• labels and text alternatives for screen readers;
• reduced motion when your device asks for it, so animations, confetti and moving counters stay still;
• pages that work when zoomed and on small screens.

Every change to the site runs automated accessibility checks before it goes live, and we check pages by hand with a keyboard.

Known limitations

• Coloring pages are drawings. Each one is labeled with the doctor’s name, but the drawing itself can’t be described in full.
• Sugar Bug Smash is a timed game. Every bug is a button you can reach with a keyboard, but the 30-second timer can’t be paused.
