This policy covers halexdentistry.com, the website of Hampton Roads Pediatric Dentistry by halex and PRIME Orthodontics by halex. How we use and protect your health information as a patient is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices.

What this website collects

You can use this website without telling us who you are. There are no accounts or logins.

• Forms. Any form on this site that asks for health information, such as appointment requests, smile-check photos or job applications, is handled by a HIPAA-compliant form provider that has signed a business associate agreement with us. Those details never go through plain email, website addresses or analytics.
• Phone and email. If you call or email us, we handle what you share the same way we handle any patient conversation.
• Hosting. Our web host keeps short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
• Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits and a few actions, such as tapping a phone number or a Book button, or finishing a Kids Zone game, so we can tell which pages help families reach us. It does not use cookies, does not follow you to other websites and does not record names, health details or anything you type. Visits are counted in aggregate, and the information is not used for advertising.
• Cookies. Apart from the advertising and call-tracking tools described below, this site does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not use tracking pixels.

Advertising and call tracking

We advertise some of our offices online. When you visit our website, Google’s advertising tag and CallRail’s call-tracking script may set cookies or use similar technology to measure whether our ads led to a visit or a phone call. To do this, CallRail may show a different phone number that forwards to our office. These tools do not receive anything you type into our appointment forms. You can control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and block cookies in your browser settings.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile number, your consent (with its date and how you gave it), and the messages we exchange. We use this only to send the messages you asked for, such as appointment reminders, scheduling and replies, and to keep a record of your consent and opt-out choices.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number, text messaging opt-in or consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is excluded from all information sharing with third parties. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages, under agreements that protect it, or when the law requires.

What stays on your device

Some features remember things in your own browser, and that information is never sent to us:

• Kids Zone: your best Sugar Bug Smash score, and the name you type on a Brave Club passport.
• Comfort plan: the comfort options you pick on the Kids Dentistry page, kept until you close the tab so the booking page can remind you of them.

You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.

Children

Kids Zone games and printables work entirely in the browser. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

Links to Google Maps, Google reviews, Instagram and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
